Concept: Solar

Work: Graphic Design

For: Solar Group

The following are design explorations for Solar to demonstrate my abilities to adapt to the brand's existing look and feel, and how I would've personally designed it. Note that these concepts were designed without having prior knowledge of Solar's official brand visual guidelines.

Magazine cover: Solar Light News & Featured Products

— Moved issue date and "News & Featured Products" tag into a new format on the upper left so the client sees they have the most current catalogue and understand what the contents are inside.

— Moved solo "Solar" wordmark to upper left so the black lower portion does not have two different "Solar" marks. "Solar Light" can stand by itself.

— Unified the multiple "New" tags on each individual products into a bigger one to reduce visual load.

Social post: Solar Tools Autumn campaign magazine

— New format to announce annual seasonal campaign magazine.

— At-a-glance subheadlines: "Interactive magazine. Best prices this season. Quick access to webstore" to tell customers what the magazine is all about. It's digital and interactive (clickable), it has the best prices yet, and clickable products redirect to the webstore.

— Call to action: browse our latest seasonal magazine, and know how long the campaign lasts.

— Added "Solar Tools" wordmark to encourage affinity.

— Uses the same green hues and circle shapes used by the brand.

Social post: Solar new offers

— New layout to announce new offers.

— Call to action: see our latest offers.

— Added "Solar" wordmark to encourage affinity.

— Uses the same blue hues and circle shapes used by the brand.

This is a personal project, developed only for the purposes of my portfolio.
